When it comes to gourmet cuisine in Germany, it's not just the Michelin star that counts, but also whether the masses really like it there. Based on guest reviews, Tripadvisor has once again identified the country's most popular restaurants with fine dining. Every year, Tripadvisor presents the "Travelers' Choice Award" in various categories. There is also an award for lovers of sophisticated culinary delights: the best restaurants in Germany are chosen in the "Fine Dining" category.

A restaurant that was already in first place in 2019 has taken the top spot: Restaurant 5 in Stuttgart. Berlin is represented in the top ten three times. Gourmet temples from Dresden, Hamburg, Munich and Königstein im Taunus also made it into the top 10 restaurants in Germany with fine dining.
Tripadvisor uses an algorithm to determine the winners of the ranking every year. The ratings of Tripadvisor users over the last twelve months are taken into account and analyzed according to various criteria. Both the quantity and the quality of the reviews are included in the evaluation, which is why the number of points is not the only decisive factor for the ranking.
The 10 best restaurants with fine dining in Germany:
1st place: Restaurant 5, Stuttgart
Restaurant 5 has once again taken first place. It impresses with its special concept of gourmet restaurant, bar, café and lounge. Anyone who eats here will be made happy, as this review on Tripadvisor shows: "The food was simply a dream, from the first to the last course it was always a new experience. Rarely eaten such fine food."
2nd place: Genuss-Atelier, Dresden
In second place is a Michelin-starred restaurant from Dresden, the Genuss-Artelier. Here, guests can enjoy creative dishes that impress with their regional variety, among other things. The menu includes homemade bread, pumpkin and catfish. The reviews on Tripadvisor are also positive: "If you want to treat yourself, this is the place to go."

New in the top ten best restaurants in Germany is Estancia Steaks in Hamburg's old town. One visitor raves in his Tripadvisor review: "An absolute must for steak lovers. 3 out of 3 steaks cooked to perfection. Starters, meat, side dishes and dessert, all delicious. Did I mention the great staff? A feel-good oasis for all ages. We will be back."
